Hi I'm a first time author and my name is Lesley Robertson. I live in the west coast of Scotland with my family. Initially from Northumberland England, I completed my nurse training degree at the Freeman hospital in Newcastle upon Tyne. I moved up to Glasgow Scotland in 1998 where I worked in and around the major Glasgow city hospitals finally specialising in cardiac nursing.
I have always wanted to write adult fantasy fiction books about vampire's, initially inspired by Stephanie Meyer's Twilight saga but I always wanted more and started to build on my idea of a young vampire called Sarah, much like myself, a cardiac nurse and follow her travels from Washington state in America to Glasgow, then up through Scotland to Aberdeen and beyond.

Sarah Miller a 24yr old nurse who's life would be forever changed on that fatal night when she would become a vampire. A fleeting encounter with a wayward ancient vampire would set her on a course to find love and war, face death intertwined with other mythical creatures.

My idea for a book was to weave a human/vampire tapestry in a world where vampires could walk among us, side by side, become integrated but still be deathly fierce and lethal at the same time. My idea for my book materialised and developed over a few years but I never either had the time to write nor the motivation. I would occasionally write ideas down on a scrap piece of paper and return to them months or even years later.

I have previously wrote bedtime stories for my children and they loved when I read to them at night but they were never published. I am currently writing my second of three books called Immortals and other Mythical creatures-Shetland that continues with Sarah's journey.
